Stewart Urban Planning was founded by Alan in January 2017.

 

Alan’s expertise includes project approvals coordination, statutory planning, advocacy, due diligence investigations, strategic thinking and front-end project management. 

 

Alan adds significant value during the preparation stages of projects, providing strategic advice on technical / stakeholder issues, while guiding applications smoothly through the planning approval process.

Analytical and strategic, Alan tailors his approach to match the specific requirements of each project, drawing on his extensive experience and technical knowledge to identify core issues and address potential impediments to approval. Alan approaches potential obstacles as opportunities to make innovative decisions and deliver enhanced project outcomes.

• Land Acquisition bids for various state owned sites.

• Preparation of Planning Advice.

• Coordination, preparation and lodgement of various commercial and mixed -use development applications, including various Hotels, Child Care Centres, Aged Care, Funeral Homes, Cinemas and Office (including the former Emu Brewery Site), Kings Square, Raine Square, Former North Sydney Telephone Exchange. 

• Coordination, preparation, lodgement and approval of major residential development applications, including Condor Apartments, Equus Apartments, the former Coburg High School Site and various other sites in Perth, Como, Cloverdale, Dalkeith, Midland and Fremantle.

• Preparation and lodgement of various scheme amendments, structure plans and Local Development Plans.

• Preparation and lodgement of various subdivision applications.

• Representation and expert evidence in the State Administrative Tribunal on behalf of private industry and Local Government Clients.

• Construction Management – Carter Lane Precinct (Subiaco).
